Horse Jewelry – Finding Unique Horse Gifts Online

It’s pretty easy to find stuff online these days. Just go to Google, type in your search term and voila! A million things to buy and usually for pretty cheap. If that’s what you’re looking for, then this article is probably not for you. This article is a compilation of little nooks and crannies I’ve found online specifically for horse jewelry that is unique, high-quality and has a story behind it.

I’ve tried to locate people who handmake all of their jewlery and have a story to their small business.

I’m a huge proponent of small businesses with character and hopefully I’ve done a little bit in terms of my share to support the businesses below and the talented people behind them. Enjoy!

Moon Raven Designs

I found Moon Raven Designs on Etsy while I was looking for horse-things and cool ideas, something which I spend quite a lot of time doing (for better or for worse). If you go to the about section of this Etsy Store, you’ll learn that owner of Moon Raven is a “self taught full time wildlife artisan since 1974”. He and his wife live on Vancouver Island in Canada and work from their studio.

They have a ton of different things on their store including a section catered to equine / horse jewelry. They also accept custom requests!

Spirit Horse Designs

Angela is based in Boise, Idaho and ships her creations worldwide. On her About Us page, it’s clear that she advocates for flexibility and collaboration in her jewerly designs. Spirit Horse Designs specializes in horse hair jewelry for those who either would like to keep their horses close to them all the time or in remembrance of a horse who has passed away or has been sold.

Initially, horse hair or any hair as jewelry might seem a little bit strange, especially when you think about wear and tear or longevity but Angela makes it work.

Gorgeous Horse

This company was founded in 1980 by a couple who started to use the “lost wax” method in order to make their jewelry. All their pieces are made in house and are thus 100% unique. You know they know their stuff as they make jewelry based on different breeds of horses. Specifically, they do Arabian, American Saddlebred, Morgan, Paso Fino, Draft, Friesian, Thoroughbred, Quarter Horse, as well as a few others.
