One of the most common ways that I would get myself out of position was leaning towards the side that I was using leg on. And I see TONS of beginners doing this also without realizing it!
I would apply pressure with my inside leg to move my horse to the outside and without even realizing it, I would lean towards that side, messing up my leg stability and position on both sides! Allow me to demonstrate what I was doing and how I fixed it:
During your next lesson I want you to really think about this and make sure that you’re not leaning towards the leg that you’re using. If anything, it’s better to put a bit more weight in the outside stirrup to help your horse along.
Keep an eye on your inbox because soon I’ll be sharing my #1 favourite exercise with you that helped me to improve my terrible ankle flexibility and get my heels down. My coach honestly could NOT believe it!
