Hi everyone! I just wanted to give a big thank you to all the blog readers out there and a special thank you to repeat readers and visitors to the blog. Honestly, it would not be possible to keep Equestrian Boots and Bridles going without all of your support.
I just wanted to write up a very quick update for the blog as I know that we haven’t been publishing any content in quite a while. I’m really so grateful and excited that even without that much new content being released, we’re still getting so many people coming to check our writing out!
I’m also thankful to have inquiries about guest writers. As you know, we are always extremely happy to consider publishing guest content! Please just send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org
Content that we’re always looking for:
- Horse artwork
- Horse stories or poetry
- Articles on horse healthcare and supplements
- Articles on being an equestrian
- Articles on horse tips and tricks
- Equestrian shopping guides (tack, clothing, etc.)
- Pretty much anything else horse related…
Furthermore, if there are any suggestions on more content that you’d like to see on the blog, please let us know!
I also wanted to let everyone know who is reading this that our social media pages have changed a lot. I will explain why we did this below. The changes are as follows:
- We’ve sold our instagram page to another company
- We’ve sold our Tumblr page to another company
- We’ve shut down our Google+ account
- We’re still on Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest!
Honestly, the main reason that I decided our brand should scale down drastically on social media was that it just didn’t sit right with me how much promotional stuff I felt like we had to put out just to “stay with the times” of social media. I didn’t start this brand in order to be sale-sy or to just push content no matter what it was.
I felt like we weren’t really adding value to you guys by doing that and so I made the difficult decision and sold off or shut down half our social media. It was not easy at all to do this because my team and I put so much work into building everything from scratch. At the end of the day though, I want our time and your time to be used in the most valuable and helpful way possible and that just wasn’t it.
As you might be able to tell, right now there isn’t much going on on our social channels. I’m still trying to figure out how to best use in a way that I don’t get sucked in to creating and promoting content for the sake of it. Again, if you have any suggestions on what you would like to see from us, please let us know!
After taking a much needed step back from the brand, I’ve decided it’s time to pick it back up again. We probably won’t be publishing as frequently as we used to and it’s going to take a little bit of time to get going on the social media channels again in a way that I think is truly useful but we’ll get there.
Again, I just want to again thank you so much to everyone who follows us on Pinterest, Facebook, Twitter and of course to the blog readers!
