If you have an equestrian in your life, you know there’s nothing they love more than their horse. So if you’re struggling to get them something for the holiday season, why not try some horse Christmas gifts?

Now, I did write a post a couple of days ago about gifts that you can get your horse for Christmas. And there’s plenty of ideas there that you could use!

But here I wanted to focus specifically on gifts for the rider.

Now, I know everyone does Christmas a little differently. Some go all out on gifts. Others save it for birthdays or other occasions. Others just aren’t really into gift buying at all. I’ve tried to make sure there’s something for everyone on this list. But if you think I’ve missed something cool, definitely let me know in the comments!

For anyone thats into virtual gift giving, this might be exactly what your horse person is waiting for. Check out our How to Buy Your First Horse package, I mean if they are as horse obsessed as me – it’s only a matter of time.

Accessories as Horse Christmas Gifts

#1: Horseshoe Necklace

Really you can’t go wrong with something a little bit sparkly for Christmas. A bit of jewellery is always appreciated by a woman of any age.

I love this rose gold horseshoe necklace by Gemma J.

I just think it’s so cute, and is definitely something I would wear myself.

Another cute piece that any equestrian would love is this Gucci horsebit handbag.

#3: Funny Horse Wine Bottle Holder

I don’t know about you and your family, but my Mum is really into gag gifts.

When I saw this wine bottle holder, I immediately thought of her.

"Funny

If you wanted something to make your favourite equestrian laugh, this could be the gift for you. It could also be a great stocking filler (if you still do stockings for your drinking age family members, like we do!).

#4: Maybe Some Horse Art?

Now one thing I always recommend is shopping local.

It may not seem that way, because I often recommend buying things online. The reason for that is that since this blog has readers from all around the world, I can’t make specific product recommendations that are going to be local for everyone.

But I can give you some tips about how you can buy local. And one of the easiest things to buy locally is horse art.

I actually have a whole guide on how you can do this! You should definitely give it a read.

What About Horse Riding Gear for Christmas Gifts?

#5: Perhaps a New Pair of Boots?

Now this is a gift that is hard to make a surprise. But hey, sometimes people don’t like surprises. And that’s okay!

I don’t recommend buying a pair of new boots as a surprise because fit is so important for riding.

But you could get around this, and still surprise your favourite equestrian. To do that, I would recommend buying (or making) a cute little card, and write in it that you owe them a new pair of boots. That’s sure to get them excited on Christmas Day!

If you’re looking for some inspiration for the boot you want to get them, you should definitely check out our ultimate guide to horse riding boots.
